The Web Service Log Viewer can be used by a suitably authorized user to view a list of 'requests' sent to, and 'responses' received from, the web service. It can be used as a diagnostic tool, to determine whether a user is able to send and receive SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) messages to the LIMSML server.
Note: The WebService Log Viewer must be activated before log files can be produced.
To activate the Web Service Log Viewer:

To view the Web Service log:

The Web Service Log is displayed in the content pane:
The options on the menu bar can be used to perform the following functions:
- Refresh the display
- Erase the existing log files
- Test the web service
- Activate/Deactivate the Web Service Log Viewer
To view the details of an individual file in the Web Service Log:
- Locate the item that you want to view in the Log
- Click on the Request or Response link beside the required item
