Logging In and Out

To log in to the SampleManager web interface, you will need a SampleManager user account and password. Your system administrator will set these up for you. The information that you can view and the actions that you can perform within the web interface are controlled by the security settings of your SampleManager user account.
 

The login screen is displayed when you access the web interface.

To login to the SampleManager web interface:

1. Enter your username and password.

Note: You can change your password from the login screen. If your password has expired, or is about to expire, you will be prompted to change it when you try to log in. Click here for additional information about changing your password.

2. Select the server containing the database that you want to connect to.
3. Press <Enter>, or click on Submit .
    

To log out of the SampleManager web interface, click on Log Out at the bottom of the Panelbar.
 

Note: The SampleManager web interface will time out if you do not use it for a specified interval set by your system administrator. If the web interface times out, then when you next attempt to use it you will be returned to the login page. You will have to repeat the login process to continue your session.
