Job Login

The Job Login option enables you to log in a job through the web interface, using a specified job template.

 

To log in a job:

  1. Select the Job Login option from the Panelbar, or from the content pane of the SampleManager web interface.

Note: Remember that the menu options will only appear in the content pane if your SampleManager web interface has been configured to display them.

  1. You are prompted to select a job template. Enter the name of the job template, or click on the Browse button to display a list of job templates.

  1. Select a job template from the list and click on the OK button.

The name of the job template is displayed in the content pane.

  1. The Next button is displayed below the progress bar. Click on this button to continue.

You are prompted to complete the fields in the job template.

 

Note: Mandatory fields are indicated by a darker blue color band (if you are using the default display settings for the web interface), as shown in the following example:

  1. Complete the prompted details.

The progress bar now indicates that you are performing step 2 of 4.

  1. Click on the Next button to continue, or click on the Previous button to return to the previous step.

You have now completed all the information that is required to create a new job. The details are displayed with a message asking you to check and confirm job creation.
 

The progress bar indicates that you are performing step 3 of 4.

  1. If you are satisfied that the information you have entered is correct, click on the Job Login button to login the job.

The progress bar now indicates that you are performing the final stage of job login. The full details of the job are displayed in the content pane.

  1. Click on the Finish button to complete the job login process, or click on the Previous button to create another new job, based on the job that you have just logged in.
